MGA Roadster
This MGA came in for a bit of work in the door area - the doors did not fit !! The sills were removed , body packed , and sills re-fitted .
Doors now fitting correctly , wings repaired where cut .
Just leaving for the paintshop !
E Type 2+2 coupe
Car came in with a bit of bubbling on the outer sill !
Inner sill reapired and new outer sill fitted.
TR4
TR4 in for new sills and floors . Front and rear had also suffered accident damage .
Bonnet now straightened , as the first 6 inches were bent backwards on themself ! New valance and headlight panel fitted.
TR3
A rather sad looking TR3 lots of rot and fibreglass !
Starting at the back and working forwards !!
After many hours of bodywork , the body is now strong to be removed from the chassis . The chassis can be checked over and repaired as necessary . Note lack of front body mounts !! The chassis will then be cleaned up and treated with a good few coats of rust preventitive paint !
All repairs now completed on bodyshell . Body is now bolted back down onto chassis .
The front end did not escape the dreaded rust either !
A lot of cutting out and welding in new sections , and a new coat of paint under the bonnet always works wonders !!
One Off Powerbulge !
I was contacted by a customer to ask if I could make him a power bulge out of aluminium for his vintage special . OK ! First thing was to make a wheeling machine !!
I was sent a cardboard template for the size and height of the bulge !
Finished job , posted back to customer , and all for less than the price of a tyre for my Volvo !!!
Here are a few photos of previous residents in my workshop !
